Police have issued an appeal for information after a homeowner in Barleythorpe woke in the early hours to find an intruder in the house.

Officers were called to a report of a burglary at a property in Brocklebank Road after the owner discovered one man inside the house and another outside at around 1.55am.

It is thought one of the suspects gained entry through a door but then they fled the scene when disturbed. Nothing was stolen in the incident and there were no reports of any injuries.

The suspects, who are believed to be two men, are described as white and aged between 17 and 19 years of age. One was wearing a grey hooded top and dark trousers and the second was wearing a dark hoodie.

Leicestershire Police are asking anyone who may have any information about the incident, on Saturday November 2, to contact 101 quoting incident 19000586432.
