The Oakham Armed Forces and Veteran's Breakfast Club is back for the first meeting of 2024 this weekend, Saturday 6 January.

The group is organised by Mark and Tracey Taylor, members of the local Armed Forces community who want to ensure that all of their comrades, past and present, have a place to go.

The Breakfast Club are a group of all arms, serving members and veterans of Her Majesty's Armed Forces. All serving, ex-serving, and forces connected individuals are welcome.

The Club meet regularly at The Grainstore - generally on the first Saturday of every month - and enjoy good food and company and share stories of their service and a good sense of humour.

The team will be celebrating their sixth year of running this August.

The Oakham Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club was formed in 2018 in memory of an army veteran who took his own life after 24 years of service.

The team said: "The first breakfast club of the year is happening this Saturday 6 January. Please pop along if you are part of the Armed Forces community. You’re guaranteed an amazing breakfast and a very warm welcome

"We look forward to seeing you."
