Oakham Town Council has announced a two day festival to start its summer season of entertainment at Cutts Close Park.

The season was due to start on June 27 but the town council was forced to cancel this and several other weekend event due to delays in lockdown restrictions being lifted, as previously reported by Nub News.

Now, with restrictions due to be lifted on July 19, Oakham Town Council says the events can now happen and it promises to start the season with 'a bang' by staging the "Life Reloaded Festival" on Saturday 24th AND Sunday 25th July!

Mayor Zoe Nealson has posted on Facebook: "This two day event will see a variety of bands and musicians playing in the bandstand, a public bar provided by The Grainstore Brewery Tap, stalls from local businesses and community groups and more!

"Stalls are again being offered free of charge to promote local businesses coming out of lockdown, if you would like to book a space for a stall on either or both days please email [email protected]"

  • Remember, if you have an event to promote, please do so FREE OF CHARGE on Nub news by clicking the link for our FREE 'What's On' events listing service and adding your details.
