The main responsibility of this position will be teaching KS3 core subjects and KS3-5 Performing Arts, including delivering engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and to inspire a love of learning, build confidence, and support emotional development. This role would be suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers. Previous experience working within SEN is not essential, however you will need to have the ability to motivate and effectively communicate with children who have SEMH.Regardless of experience, the successful candidate will have the ability to embrace the inclusive therapeutic culture and ethos of the school. A strong commitment to raising achievement and standards is required along with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery. The opportunity to teach another relevant subject may be available to an interested candidate.About Wilds Lodge SchoolWilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day students only) for students aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland. All the students at the school have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
