Police helicopter searches for man after reports of Oakham shooting

The police helicopter was called out last night following reports of a shooting in Oakham.

Oalkham police said on twitter: "Officers in attendance in Oakham following a report of a man shot with an air weapon."

Their statement, issued just before 9pm, said the man sustained a minor injury.

It continued: "Police helicopter been assisting officers on the ground in search for person responsible."

Anyone with information urged to contact Oakham Police on 101 quoting incident 469.
