Rutland and Leicestershire Police are investigating the mysterious death of a woman who died in Oakham.

Leicestershire Police received a call yesterday (23 June) at around 6pm from East Midlands Ambulance Service to a report of a woman in her thirties unwell at an address in Bullfinch Close, Oakham.

A police statement said: "Officers attended the address and despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene, the woman passed away.

"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained while further enquiries are being carried out surrounding the circumstances."
