With candidates set to go to the polls on 4 July 2024, Oakham Nub News is bringing you the latest election information to help you make your choice when the time comes.

There's been a boundary change in the Rutland area, with a new seat in the Commons for Rutland and Stamford rather than Rutland and Melton.

The full list of candidates running for Stamford and Rutland are:

  • James Moore (Lib Dem)
  • Christopher Clowes (Reform)
  • Emma Louise Baker (Green)
  • Alicia Kearns (Conservative - currently holds the Rutland and Melton seat)
  • Joe Wood (Labour)
  • Joanna Mary Burrows (Rejoin EU)

And some of these candidates will be attending a Hustings in Oakham on Tuesday 25 June 2024.

This event will give Rutland residents the opportunity to meet their candidates and ask questions about their candidacy, policy and aims.

Questions must be submitted by Monday 24 June to [email protected].

The event will then take place from 6:30pm at All Saints' Church on Tuesday 25 June.
