Cottesmore Sees How the Years Have Treated the Village

A new, permanent, exhibition has just opened to show how Cottesmore has changed over the last 100 years.

Cottesmore Village Hall now has a display of 'then and now' photographs of key areas of the village.

The old black and white images are from the village archives. New, colour, photographs have been taken by local photographer Estelle Slegers Helsen to show the same view as the old. Her other work can be seen at www.newtraces.uk

The new pictures were commissioned by the Cottesmore History and Archaeology Group and co-financed with Cottesmore Parish Council and Cottesmore Village Hall.

Representatives of the three organisations met to open, officially, the show.

When you visit the village hall for its many events, do take time to look at the pictures and see how the village has changed.
