100-time donor to undergo cycling challenge to raise awareness for Blood Donation

Following his 100th Blood Donation, former Mayor of Oakham Town Council Adam Lowe has set himself the challenge to raise awareness for the need for more blood donors with a cycling challenge.
Adam will be undergoing a cycle ride throughout June, July and August visiting WW2 Pillboxes dotted around Rutland, donating £25 to Leicestershire and Rutland Blood Bikes for every pillbox visited.
He underwent the first ride of his challenge on 27th June, covering 22 miles in 2 hours and 30 minutes. On this ride he visited 3 Pill Boxes, one in Cutts Close, Oakham, one in Burley Crescent and on at Station Road in Whissendine.
Adam will be sharing regular updates on his public Facebook page throughout July and August, sharing his cycling routes, amount donated and sites visited.
