The Artisan Cheese Fair returns on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May.

Just a short drive up the A606 from Oakham, the annual Artisan Cheese Fair will be going ahead in Melton Mowbray this weekend.

The fair is a popular annual event and the largest cheese fair in the UK, making it a cheese lover's delight.

Around 50 - 60 artisan cheese makers attend from across the UK and Ireland every year, showcasing up to 300 incredible cheeses, including lactose free and vegan offerings, so there really is a cheese for everyone.

However, if cheese isn't your thing, fear not, as there will also be stalls selling cider, beers, soft drinks and more to take home, as well as other savoury foods, including pies, cakes, breads and more.

There will be some great special offers on the day on a range of goods.

Hot food and drinks stalls will also be catering for the foodie attendees on the day, serving a range of street foods and refreshments.

The fair is great for families, with a range of workshops, tastings, theatre and entertainment opportunities on offer across the weekend.

In 2016, the fair was home to the first ever Artisan Cheese Awards, putting it on the map as one of the top cheese fairs in the country.

The event will take place on 20 and 21 May from 10am until 4pm.

The fair take place at the Livestock Market, Melton Mowbray. LE13 1JY, and there is marshalled and signposted parking just up the road from the main gates.

Tickets cost £5 in advance and on the gate. Kids 16 and under are free.
