Love is in the air at Rutland Farm Park and the team are getting ready to host a Valentine's Afternoon Tea for the big kids and small as the season of love approaches.

Rutland Farm Park, on Uppingham Road, is a popular attraction run by one Rutland family with yours in mind.

Owned by Clive and Julie, and run day-to-day by their hard-working daughter Farmer Amy, the family farm is a hive of activity all year round. Children and families can visit a range of rare-breed animals and get up-close with rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and more furry and feathered friends from Tuesday to Sunday (the farm is open on Mondays during the summer and school holidays).

Supported by a number of animal-mad volunteers, the farm hosts seasonal events, children's parties, corporate events, hen and stag dos, regular feeding and hands-on sessions for the kids and adults, as well as food-focused events at their café, Daphne's Tea Room.

One of the upcoming events that will appeal to the food-lovers across Rutland is their Valentine's Day afternoon tea, set to take place the weekend after Valentine's Day.

From Monday 12 to 16 and Monday the 19 to 23 February, you can enjoy a selection of home and hand made foods and treats at Rutland Farm Park - and entry to the farm, for only £18.95 per person.

The team make almost all of their goodies in-store and source ingredients locally, so you can guarantee that you and your lover will enjoy the freshest of cakes, scones, sandwiches and more at the romantic event.

Once you are full of Valentine's tea treats, you can enjoy a stroll around the farm, visiting the goats, ducks, llamas, alpacas, horses, cows and other animals, and take the kids to the play area or to sponsor one of the animals on the farm. Sponsorship is another great way to show family and friends that you care, while giving back to Rutland Farm Park - who have rescued a range of their animals from residents in and around Rutland.
