Rutland Water beach will be closed until Sunday due to bad weather forecasts.

The team announced the news on social media: "Unfortunately, due to the weather, our beach is currently closed and will reopen on Sunday 6 August."

Located at Rutland Water's North Shore, Rutland Water beach provides 140 metres of sandy shoreline and a 2,800m2 area for you to paddle and swim in.

The beach is seasonal and is only operational in the summer months between 11am and 5pm.

If you're looking for ways to entertain the kids in the meantime, our mini golf, watersports, Aqua Park Rutland, Rumble Live Action Gaming, Rutland Cycling, cafés and nature reserve are still open, as well as the Sykes Lane car park.
