Leicester Tigers fans can beat the Christmas traffic and parking queues by taking the matchday bus service from Oakham for the club's home game against Exeter Chiefs this Saturday (21 Dec).

The Orbit Coaches service, which has a pick up and drop off in Uppingham, is scheduled to arrive at the stadium at 2.30pm - in good time for the 3pm kick-off - and depart for the return journey at 5.30pm.

Places should be pre-booked by calling the ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2).

The return price is £6 (£5 concessions), with bookings on the day £8 return (£7 concessions) - but pre-booking is advised to guarantee a seat.

To maintain the sustainability of match-day bus services routes rely on a minimum number of passengers to operate.

Leicester Tigers is currently monitoring the viability of the buses - so if you know anyone who could benefit from the route make sure you pass on the information.

Bus timetable:

T2 - Oakham Northgate (opposite Wheatsheaf) 1.20pm, Preston (Kingfisher) 1.28pm, Uppingham (North Street East bus stop) 1.40pm, Tugby (Crossroads bus stop) 1.50pm, Houghton on the Hill (Rose & Crown) 2pm, Bushby (Bus stop at 913 Uppingham Rd) 2.03pm, Leicester (St Joseph's Church, Uppingham Rd) 2.06pm, Leicester (Merlyn Vaz Centre, Uppingham Rd) 2.15pm, Welford Road 2.30pm.
