Ben Robson, owner-founder of Bat and Bottle Wine Merchants, based at Oakham Enterprise Park, has been named the first ever winner of the UK 'Online Specialist Wine Buyer' award at this year's London Wine Fair.

The London Wine Fair is the largest wine event in the UK; it is a trade-only event held at Olympia.

This year, the fair was cancelled due to lockdown, however the organisers held the inaugural Wine Buyer Awards ceremony virtually.

This recognition is outstanding.

Rutland's own, 25-year-old, small family business is on the doorstep, and has been recognised nationally over all the other wine clubs, societies and huge, better known wine giants of the UK.
