A Bereavement Help Point has opened in Oakham today, Tuesday 16 May.

A Bereavement Help Point has opened at Oakham Fire Station.

The purpose of this new centre is to act as a hub for those in need of support following the loss of a loved one.

It will be open from 2pm until 4pm every Monday, excluding Bank Holidays, and can be found on South Street, Oakham, LE15 6HD.

Rutland's High Sheriff, Geraldine Feehally, said: "A new bereavement Help Point opened in Oakham today. Organisers, trained volunteers and guests gathered at South Street Fire Station to celebrate. Drop into the station any Monday (except bank holidays) to 2pm-4pm to find positive, discreet, caring help and information."
