Police Cadets from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland were in action at Rutland Sailing Club in Edith Weston over the weekend, supporting a national youth sailing event as part of the community action phase of their curriculum.

The weather was excellent and the cadets were busy marshalling the event car parks, and assisting competitors at the waterside.

A statement from leicestershire Police says: "As always, our cadets were enthusiastic, engaging and helpful, and great ambassadors of the Volunteer Police Cadet Programme.

"Well done all, and a massive thanks from your cadet leaders for a positive morning!
