The cast list and dates for Rutland Musical Theatre's (RMR) next production have been announced.

Following their recent success with 'Avenue Q', which they performed at Rutland Showground, RMT will be back in April with 'The Addams Family', a new comedy musical based on the 1991 American supernatural black comedy of the same name.

The musical production tells a new story based on the cult classic, and offers a host of new songs, news jokes and spooky scenes to scare the life out of you - in true Addams Family style.

Made even more popular by the recent success of Netflix's teen series, 'Wednesday', this musical tells of Wednesday Addams as she discovers love... and with a top cast, this production promised to be a thrill.

Following their sold-out run at The Core with their hugely popular production of Kinky Boots, Rutland Musical Theatre are proud to be returning to the venue for 'The Addams Family'.

Based on the loved characters created by Charles Addams, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.

Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents, with hilarious consequences.

With all the well-known kooky characters such as Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley and more, this is a heart-warming story of love, family and friendship… with a twist!
