Cinema for Rutland returns to Oakham this week.

The community cinema event is hosted by Rutland County Museum and run by Arts for Rutland.

Arts for Rutland is a Registered Charity committed to leading, promoting and supporting the arts in Rutland. It consists of a small volunteer committee that aims to be representative of the county's arts organisations and various creative disciplines. Local organisations can apply for grants of up to £1,000.

On top of supporting local groups, the charity hosts regular exhibitions and events, including their monthly Cinema for Rutland initiative.

The initiative brings a new or classic film to Rutland County Museum in Catmos Street, generally on the first Thursday of every month.

So far this year, the team have shown The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, Barbie and other modern and classic films.

Next up on the lineup is One Life starring Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter.

Wine and other refreshments will be available before the screening. The bar takes cash.
