Coronavirus crisis: How Oakham Ambulance Station got a '10' from Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood

Oakham Ambulance Station has earned national recognition from Strictly Star Craig Revel Horwood.

The station has joined the national craze known as the Blinding Lights Challenge on the video app known as TikTok.

The challenge is a dance video to The Weeknd's hit song 'Blinding Lights'. The single has has been on top of the charts for weeks.

It features challenge sees TikTok users perform a specific dance routine to the song.

The trend is popular among much of the county - from builders on construction sites to people staying on their own at home!

This week saw Oakham Ambulance Station give their version, which earned a '10' from Strictly star Craig Revel Horwood.

Craig said in a video he posted on twitter that their performance was "not quite the disaster it could have been." He also sent "lots of love" to the crew.

On Twitter, he added: "Go #Oakham Ambulance Station! Great job all!!!"

Ambulance crew member Rachel Makins replied: "Thanks so much for being a great sport & supporting us. Love from all at Oakham Ambulance Station."

Oakham Police commented: "What a superb team we have in #Oakham your dancing was amazing and glad your spirits are high! You are all #Awesome."
