Rutland recorded no cases of Covid-19 today and no deaths.
However, the county's 7-day case rate increased from 32.6 cases per 100,000, based on 13 cases in the week to yesterday to 37.6 based on 15 cases in the week to yesterday, due to how these government figures are calculated.
Last Monday, the county recorded three cases and none the Monday before.
Rutland's 7-day case rate is less than half the England average of 89.9, and is much higher than the 5 rate of the Friday ten or so days ago, which was based on 2 cases over a week, the lowest since last Summer.
England's 7-day case rate has crept up in recent weeks, whilst in Rutland it has fluctuated at low levels, at one stage last week amongst the lowest in the country.
Rutland has now recorded 1722 cases recorded since the start of the pandemic- about one case for every 25 residents. This compares with the England average of almost one-in-15.
The number of deaths remains at 65, the same as Friday- about one for every 600 residents, which compares with the national average of one-in-500 residents.
Rutland's last recorded death was on the last Wednesday of April, the only death with Covid-19 recorded in Rutland during April and so far in May and June.
Meanwhile, in Lincolnshire, the 7-day Covid-19 infection rate in South Kesteven is still trending upwards.
Eight cases were recorded today, compared with 4 last Monday and 6 the Monday before.
The number of cases over the past week was 58 compared with 51 in the week to yesterday, 55 in the week to Saturday, and 50 in the week to Friday and a recent low of 12 on the Tuesday, almost two weeks ago.
This means the 7-day rate for South Kesteven is now 40.7 cases per 100,000 of population, which is still less than half of the England 7-day case rate of 89.9.
South Kesteven now has a recorded 7781 cases since the start of the pandemic- about one for each 20 residents, which compares with the England average of one for each 15 residents.
The number of reported deaths remains at 270, following an 'increase' by 3 last Wednesday due to changes in how the figures were calculated, rather than any actual deaths.
Overall, there have been 99 coronavirus cases in Greater Lincolnshire on Monday as the Prime Minister says July 19 is still his "terminus" for lockdown restrictions, but a "rough winter" awaits.
The latest figures are a rise of 14% compared to 87 cases last Monday.
The government's COVID-19 dashboard recorded on Monday 42 new cases in Lincolnshire, 45 in North East Lincolnshire and 12 in North Lincolnshire.
There were no deaths reported in government or NHS figures on Monday.
Nationally on Monday, cases increased by 10,633 to 4,640,507 while a further five deaths took the tally to 127,981.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said July 19 is still looking to be the "terminus point" to end all coronavirus restrictions during a visit to the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control on Monday.
Suggestions that the lockdown lift could be brought forward have been mooted by Downing Street today, who said they will continue to monitor cases day-by-day.
Mr Johnson added that he was "looking at" allowing people "exemptions" from quarantine if they had two doses of the vaccine, but added: "The emphasis is going to be making sure we can protect the country from the virus coming back in."
He warned cases of the Delta variant are rising at a rate of around 30% week on week.
He added that the UK was in for a "rough winter" with the return of flu and that the NHS needed to be given "breathing space" by reducing cases before then.
However, he did not rule out further lockdowns in the winter.
"You can never exclude that there will be some new disease, some new horror that we simply haven't budgeted for or accounted for," he said.
