Coronavirus crisis: Oakham curry house closes for two days after customer tests positive with virus

An Oakham pub/ Indian Restaurant is closing for 48 hours after a customer tested positive for Covid-19.

The warning was posted earlier today on the Facebook page of the Royal Duke Bar and Grill on West Road.

The statement said: "Morning guys, had a phone call this morning off a customer that has been tested positive for Covid 19 he was in the pub Friday and Saturday evening.

"Due to this we are now closed for the next 48 hours and are undertaking a deep clean following advice given from Rutland council.

"All staff are being tested for Covid 19. We will re open this Friday from 2pm as normal. We look forward to welcoming you back to a safe environment."
