Coronavirus crisis: Rutland to resume bulk waste operations

By The Editor

1st May 2020 | Local News

Rutland County Council is to resume its bulky waste collection service from Monday 4 May.

The bulky waste service offers to collect and remove large household items such as furniture and white goods.

The cost for removal is £32 for up to four items. All bulky waste items must be left outside of properties, where they can be easily collected and removed.

The council says bulky waste operatives cannot currently enter people's homes to remove items, meaning assisted collections are unavailable.

Residents can book a bulky waste collection by calling Rutland County Council on: 01572 722 577 from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, or 8.30am to 4.30pm Fridays. A limited number of daily collection slots are available.
