Further East Midlands Railway (EMR) strikes will impact Rutland residents and visitors travelling to and from Oakham station this Christmas.

With multiple strikes planned over the festive period, EMR are warning travellers to check their routs in advance of train travel this holiday period, which strikes, changes and delays expected until the night of the 24th of December 2022.

The first of these strikes is scheduled for Friday the 2nd of December, when there will be no EMR trains running through Oakham station at all.

Travellers should expect the same on Saturday the 3rd and 4th of December also.

Strikes are also scheduled for the 13th to the 17th of December, and the 23rd and 24th of December 2022, although details of these have not yet been released.

If trains are running on these days, they will only be available from 7:30am until 18:30pm. With ready limited services to the station though, commuters should expect there to be no EMR train services on these days.
