Drag Bingo is coming to Oakham to raise funds for Rutland Musical Theatre with a night of fabulous bingo, live singing and the opportunity to get on the disco dance floor for a boogie.

The show will be a debut for local drag queen Mavis McQueen, who will be hosting the bingo and performing hits between the rounds.

There will be prizes on offer including chocolates and bottles of fizz.

Organiser Ruth McClelland told Nub News: "I am raising money for Rutland Musical Theatre. They have performed fabulous shows at Corby Cube like Kinky Boots and The Addams Family.

"Casting has just been completed for their next main musical show Shrek! As you can imagine the cost of a full theatre, staging and live band soon adds up."

Ruth has put together a night of fabulous fun at the Steam Room in the Railway Pub, Oakham on Saturday 5th October from 7pm.

The organiser is keen to let visitors know that this will not be an outrageous drag show and will instead be a lively night of all-round fun.
