Next month, coming to Rutland will be outdoor cinema, held at Oakham Castle, promising a range of our favourite movies.

The events promise a stylish alternative night out in Oakham this August from Cambridge-based The Star & Mouse Cinema who are undertaking a nationwide tour.

The first of the films is Grease, on Friday August 20. Saturday sees Jurassic Park and Top Gun will be staged on Sunday.

Co-founder Eleanor Lyons said: "By now everyone has been along to a little outdoor cinema, but this experience is far more than just an alfresco movie.

"Get ready for an evening of party decadence, feel good vibes, a spot of retro glamour, live music, outdoor movies and much, much more.

"Gates to the event open before the film begins at sundown giving movie goers enough time to enjoy the added little extras, so make sure you plan to meet your friends in good time to enjoy the atmosphere, grab a bite to eat from the guest street food vendor, soak up the pre-film entertainment and get fully immersed in your surroundings."

Eleanor advised: "It's wise to make sure you come prepared, take some extra warm clothing, maybe a blanket or two.

"Dogs are welcome too, so please feel free to bring your four legged friends along to the party."

Ticket prices range from £10 - £25.
