Evie to launch cocktail delivery service to Oakham area

By The Editor 10th Jun 2021

A new cocktail delivery service starts in Oakham tomorrow.

The new venture, called Just Add Ice, is headed by former Catmose College student Evie Tempest.

Evie told Nub News: "I'm 21 years old and have lived in and around Oakham and Rutland for most of my life, love the local area and how beautiful our county is. I have a huge love of cocktails and I find them incredibly enjoyable to drink.

"Over the past 18 months I've been looking at starting my own business as I love the idea of being my own boss as I've previously worked for my parents in Baubles and Bangles for the last 5 years or so and a few other jobs in hospitality, etc, so the idea of setting up my own cocktail business was just ideal for me."

Evie continued: "I'm a bit annoyed in a way that I didn't think of this idea at the start of all of the lockdowns we had, but now that I've put all the work into getting my licences and creating my Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as designing my website all by myself, I am over the moon.

"The problem with cocktails is generally they are overpriced, I wanted to change that, I wanted to provide great tasting affordable drinks and I'm pleased to say I believe I have achieved that. I've had trial nights with friends and family and received nothing but good feedback from everyone.

"I also feel that when you feel like having a cocktail you don't want to fork out on all the bottles of spirits to make cocktails only to have one or two of them. All you need to enjoy our cocktails is ice, hence the name … ' Just Add Ice' as none of our drinks come with ice in them so they are not diluted before consumption."

All the cups are 100% recyclable, do not crack and are reusable so after customers have had their drink, they can use them again for their own needs. Each drink also comes with a fully biodegradable straw.

Evie added: "And obviously it's over 18s only and we require ID upon delivery in order for the customers to be able to accept the drinks."

The website can also be found here.
