Between 1st and 8th November, there are plenty of firework displays to attend in and around Oakham, including smaller, local gatherings and a huge fireworks spectacular to live music.

Fireworks Festival and Concert in Melton Mowbray

From 6pm on 1st November, Play Close Park in Melton Mowbray will be home to a Fireworks Festival and Concert featuring a live DJ, two live tribute bands, a giant bonfire and a professional fireworks display set to music.

In order to improve accessibility and inclusivity, there will also be a 'sensory friendly' fireworks display earlier in the evening at 6.45, suited to those who find traditional fireworks too loud or overwhelming.

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm followed by a performance of ABBA Tribute band Planet ABBA. The main firework event with accompanying DJ will start at 8pm, with a performance by Queen tribute act Supersonic Queen live afterwards. The event will be rounded off with music from the live DJ until 10.30pm.

Family tickets are available for £25 to this event, with a single adult costing £10 and under 12s costing £5. These prices will increase on the night, so they recommend booking early bird tickets to save.

Rutland Lions Fireworks at Rutland Showgrounds

Rutland Lions' annual fireworks display will be on 1st November, featuring two spectacular displays from 1st Galaxy Fireworks.

There will also be hot food being served from Roaming Giraffe Events and drinks available from the rugby club bar.

All proceeds from this event will go to charity, with tickets available at a discount online and at full-price on the day.

Cottesmore Fireworks Night at Cottesmore Village Hall

On Sunday 3rd November from 4pm – 7pm, Cottesmore Firework Night will take place at Cottesmore Village Hall.

Featuring a bonfire and firework display, the hosts describe this event as "organised by the community for the community."

They also mention: "the firework display is provided by the same professional pyrotechnic company yet again... so you know it will be good."

Tickets are available online and at the village shop until 2nd November and will be at a reduced price compared to on the day.

Whissendine Firework Spectacular at Whissendine Sports Club

Hosted by The Friends of Whissendine Primary School, Whissendine Firework Spectacular will take place on Friday 8th November from 5.30pm.

This event will include a performance from a live fire breather at 6.30pm, followed by a fantastic fireworks display at 7pm.

There will be hot and cold refreshments available, as well as a licenced bar and BBQ.

Pre-purchased tickets can be bought in advance online or from Whissendine Mace Village Shop, with early bird tickets costing £6 for an adult and £5 for children over the age of 3. On the night, however, an adult ticket will cost £7 and a child ticket will cost £6.
