A fresh provider is to continue the Rutland Covid-19 vaccination Programme.

Derbyshire Health United will be delivering the vaccines on behalf of the Rutland Primary Care Network.

The PCN says the change is to allows its staff to concentrate on 'core general practice.'

The vaccinations will continue to be given at the offices of Rutland County Council.

In an update issued yesterday, the PCN said the four Rutland GP practices have now delivered nearly 43000 Covid vaccinations at the Rutland County Council Site.

Both vaccinations have been delivered to 78% of the adult population, including 93% of those over 50 and 54% of those under 50. 78% of those under 50 have received a first dose.

Details of the August vaccination programme, which is open to over 18s, can be found here.
