Do you know of any famous or historic figures that hail from Rutland and its historic market town of Oakham?

From former pro sportsmen to Rutland's shortest man, Sir Jeffrey Hudson, a host of famous names have been born and bred in and around the local area.

And while many famous faces have lived in and around the area - including Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood and famous England cricketer turn BBQ expert Matthew Hoggard - The Pudding has released an interactive map of those who are the most searched, and the answers may be surprising...

But of all these famous faces, who can claim to be the most looked-up on Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is often the go-to website on finding out facts about famous people, whether it's their age, what they've been in or where they are from.

This handy map of the UK lets you see the most wikipedia'd person from each town.

So what about Rutland?

Oakham - Titus Oates, also called Titus the Liar, was an English perjurer who fabricated the "Popish Plot", a supposed Catholic conspiracy to kill King Charles II.

Burley - Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham, 7th Earl of Winchilsea PC, was an English Tory statesman during the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries.

Hambleton - Derek William Spence is a Northern Irish former professional footballer. He played as a forward in a career spanning seventeen years from 1969 to 1986.

Whissendine - Sir Robert de Hellewell was a member of the Folville Gang that slew the corrupt Baron of the Exchequer, Sir Roger de Beler and was Rutland's MP in 1340.

Uppingham - Jonathan Randal Vaughan is an English television and radio personality and a film critic. He was the main presenter of Capital Breakfast alongside Lisa Snowdon on 95.8 Capital FM.

South Luffenham - Robert Cawdrey was an English clergyman who produced one of the first dictionaries of the English language, the Table Alphabeticall, in 1604.

Find out about other famous faces from in and around Rutland on the map, which surprisingly does not list Sir Jeffrey Hudson!
