Rumble Live, the award-winning live action gaming arena at Rutland Water has revealed its Star Wars themed missions will return for the early May Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate Star Wars Day on 4 May - may the fourth be with you!

Aspiring Padawan and seasoned Jedi will be able to take part in themed outdoor laser tag missions at the Rutland Water site on 30 April and 1 May.

Set in two beautiful woodland locations, Rumble players will be fighting for the Rebel Alliance or joining the dark side with the Empire in special themed missions, including Hoth Defence — in which the The Rebel Alliance team are entrenched and have to hold out against the attacking Empire forces as long as they can — Commander Take-down and Endor Escape.

Participants will also have time at the end of their session to take photographs with their favourite Star Wars characters — will you choose the Light or Dark Side of The Force? Fancy dress is also optional, but encouraged.

A special leaderboard will also be running across all of the Star Wars sessions throughout the weekend, with the Ranger's standout player being crowned as the 'Chosen One'. The Chosen One will win a free future VIP session at Rumble Live, which they can bring three Jedi friends along to, on a day and time of their choosing.

Jacquie Rumble and son Joe, who run the attraction together, decided to revive the themed missions again this year, after it went down a storm(trooper) at its Grafham Water site last year.

Jacquie explained: "We received very positive feedback for our Star Wars missions last year at our Grafham Water site and so we're excited to bring them back this year and at our new location too. The nature of the activity fits the Star Wars theme really well, entices new players and excites our regulars. Last year we had a pesky Jawa on-site, but this year contenders should look out for Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers."

The Grafham Water site has won several awards since opening in 2019, including Laser Tag Experience of the Year 2022/23 award (Prestige Award) and Best Adrenaline Activity in Cambridgeshire (Eastlife 2022), and its success prompted Jacquie and Joe to open a second site at Rutland Water on 1 April 2023.

The price for the Star Wars missions is £20 per person for a 60 minute session. It is suitable for adults and children aged eight and above, however for Star Wars missions only children aged six and seven are also welcome, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

Bookings can be made through the website, and the friendly team are on-hand to answer any queries by phone 01480 592135 or email at [email protected].
