The Greetham Car Boot Sale has come to a close.

After 2 years of trade and 1000s of visitors, the car boot sale located on the outskirts of Greetham is coming to a close.

Taking place every Sunday during the summer, the car boot was once popular. However, in recent weeks turnout has been poor and, with the return of the Rutland Showground Car Boot Sale, has not improved.

The event did start up again for 2023 on 28 April but, due to low attendance, the organisers made the decision to cancel.

The organisers shared on social media: "Unfortunately, due to the low attendance this year, we have had not choice but to end the car boot sale. This is not something we have taken lightly, and we will miss you all."

For those wanting to bag a bargain elsewhere, the Rutland Showground Car Boot Sale takes place at Showground Way each Saturday, weather and field conditions permitting.

Follow them on Facebook for more up to date information about the summertime event.

The team concluded: "Thank you for your support over the last 2 years."
