Hambleton Hall's michelin-starred restaurant features in the latest issue of Waitrose's Food magazine.
This month's (June) edition of the magazine has a retro flavour and a feature by Emma Hughes rounds up some of the British restaurants which 'have been quietly serving consistently fantastic food for decades'.
Hambleton Hall heads up the collection of nine restaurants that have stood the test of time.
A photo of one of the hotel's elegant dining tables in the restaurant is the eating out feature's main photo with the section on Hambleton Hall illustrated by a gorgeous image of the grounds looking out over Rutland Water.
The luxury country hotel's restaurant has held a Michelin star since 1982 - two years after it opened - the longest retained star in the UK.
The article says: "Noel Coward was a frequent visitor to this country estate near Rutland Water - and the king of elegant exuberance would definitely have approved of chef Aaron Patterson's menu today."
The food is described as 'a mastery of classical techniques' complemented by a 'very 21st century emphasis on vegetables'.
Finally, the article talks about how hospitality runs in the Hart family with owners Tim and Stefa Hart's sons Sam, Eddie and James head up a London restaurant 'empire' including Barrafina and Quo Vadis.
Of course locals also know that Tim, along with former sous chef and master baker Julian Carter, established award-winning Hambleton Bakery in 2008. Specialising in traditionally-made bread, cakes and savouries the Exton bakery is just five minutes from the hotel.
Other top eateries included in the Waitrose magazine feature are Plumber Manor in Dorset, The Cherwell Boathouse in Oxford, Oslo Court in London and Hendersons in Edinburgh.
