Head to Oakham this weekend for the 170th Anniversary History Fair

This Saturday 5th July, The Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society has joined forces with Hidden Histories Heritage Events, Oakham Castle and Rutland County Museum for the 170th Anniversary History Fair.
This is a free to attend event that is packed with historical fun and the opportunity to learn more about Oakham and Rutland's rich history.

There will be plenty of adults and kids to enjoy, from hands on activities and re-enactments at Oakham Castle to expert talks at Rutland County Museum.
There will also be the opportunity to attend a fascinating talk as part of the Festival of Archaeology in Oakham Castle, discussing the details of Project Rota and the discovery of King Rota's lost fortress. This talk will take place in Oakham Castle.
