Healthwatch Rutland to host drop in session to discuss healthcare concerns
Healthwatch Rutland will be hosting a drop in session to discuss healthcare concerns with Oakham locals.
From Essendine to Uppingham and everywhere in between, we make sure NHS leaders and other decision makers hear your voice and use your feedback to improve care.
A spokesperson for the group said: "We provide an opportunity for local people to have a powerful voice on the health and social care services they use.
"Through our network of committed volunteers, and good relations with existing voluntary and community groups, we work to listen to what local people think about the services they use and then work with providers to change and improve them.
"We help people get the best out of their local health and social care services, whether it's improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow."
As well as fighting for improvements in local healthcare, they have also been campaigning on NHS dental access issues, some change has been implemented, but has had little impact locally so far. To help us keep the issue live and press for change, we are seeking recent experience of the public in Rutland.
You can complete this poll here.
This comes as it is revealed that no dental practices in Rutland are accepting NHS patients, and local people have spoken out about their struggles accessing dental care.
It also follows an announcement that residents are forgoing basic healthcare and wellbeing essentials as the cost of living crisis continues.

Alternatively, head to Rutland Library from 10am until 12pm on 15 November to share your experience of local healthcare provisions with Healthwatch Rutland, when team will listen to your experiences in order to influence change.
