Susannah Fish, High Sheriff of Rutland, has presented the team behind the Rutland County Show with a High Sheriff Award to commend their contributions and 'outstanding service to the communities of Rutland.'

Following the success of the 2026 Rutland County Show at Rutland Showground, the team behind the event have been presented with an award from the High Sheriff of Rutland, celebrating their hard work and dedication.

Speaking about the award on social media, Susannah said: '[I'm] really delighted to give a High Sheriff Award to the Rutland County Show Team.

'Receiving it on their behalf is Sophie, Gary and Emily.

'The team of mostly volunteers set up, run and dismantle the best one day county show in the country through countless hours of planning, preparation and dedication.

'Over a quarter of the county's population attends the show, which gets even better every year.

'Thank you for your understanding service to the communities of Rutland.'

Upon receiving the awards, the Rutland Showground team published a response, saying: 'We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the High Sheriff for this recognition.

'It means a great deal to everyone involved and is a wonderful tribute to the dedication, commitment and countless volunteer hours that go into delivering the Rutland County Show throughout the year.
