Jane's Monthly book sale is set to return in early March in aid of a local charity.

The monthly book sale, which is scheduled to take place at Oakham Congregational Church. is back on Saturday 2 March 2024.

The sale will take place on the first Saturday of every month, and all funds raised will go to the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS).

EMICS is a network of volunteer doctors with specialist training in pre-hospital emergency medicine who assist East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS).

EMICS doctors provide advanced specialist skills at the point of accident or injury, where they are needed most, 365 days a year.

The volunteer doctors are dispatched alongside usual NHS resources to the most serious incidents in the region and arrive at scene carrying all their own kit and medications, funded entirely by the charity.

This is all done on a voluntary basis, responding from home in their own vehicles, around normal work commitments.

As such, fundraising events such as this are critical to the ongoing success of the charity.

The sale, returning on 2 March, will take place from 9am until 1pm at Congregational Church, High Street, Oakham - which has disabled access via South Street.

Make the most of excellent prices for paperbacks, hardbacks, children's literature and large print.
