An Oakham dry cleaners has celebrated 30 years in the county town of Rutland.

John Porter Dry Cleaning, promising 'Quality Clothes Care', has just marked 30 years of trade in Oakham.

The business was set up in December 1993 by John Porter and his son, Paul, who now runs the business.

Located in Market Street, Oakham, the business offers dry cleaning and laundry services as well as collection and delivery across the local area.

The Porter family have been doing so for 30 years, and have become a trusted local business for residents across Rutland.

Paul explained: "Both having worked for many years in the Machinery and manufacturing side of the dry cleaning industry, we decided to change course, and establish a Local Dry Cleaning business, based on good quality dry cleaning and excellent customer service."

They have, in the last 30 years, won numerous awards for their service, as well as appearing on national radio along the way.

Paul continued: "We have not strayed from our key principles of quality and excellence, and are still here, 30 years later, providing a quality service to not only local customers, but also on the odd occasion, from around the world.

"We have to thank not only our small team of dedicated staff, but also our many loyal customers for our continued success."
