Rutland's popular annual Walking and Cycling Festival returns this month, encouraging people to lace up and head outdoors to explore the county on foot or by bike.
Now celebrating its 10th year, the festival is split across two weeks from Saturday 18 to Friday 31 May and celebrates the many ways that you can get active through walking and cycling.
Organised by Rutland County Council, the festival also offers a chance to meet local clubs and groups, discover new routes around the county and find out how walking and cycling can improve your health and well-being.
Coun Lucy Stephenson, the council's cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: "The Walking and Cycling Festival is a great way to explore Rutland and our fantastic countryside.
"Every year we encourage people to get outside and discover the benefits of walking and cycling for fun.
"They're both great activities to help you get active and the festival is open to anyone, regardless of age or ability."
The two-week festival will see more than 30 sessions take place around Rutland including country walks, mountain biking, a demonstration day dedicated to electric bikes and much more.
Activities are free, with some small costs where bike hire may be needed.
