A pop up art exhibition is closing in Oakham.

Rutland Pop up Art Exhibition, hosted by a local artist, Juliette Brasher, opened in Oakham's Church Street at the start of September.

The former home of All Saints hair dressing on Church Street has been transformed this September into a pop up art gallery, displaying work by local artists, with many works available to buy.

A splendid variety of art is has been on display and for sale in the shop, with mediums including oil, acrylic and pastel painting, sterling silver and resin jewellery, street art, sticker art and clothing, textiles, pastel, mixed media and more.

Local, amateur, part-time, professional, 'incognito' and internationally successful artists have been displaying at the event, and attendees are still in with the chance to win a commission from their favourite artist in attendance.

Enter the raffle in store at 16 Church Street, where 20% of the proceeds will be going to Friends of the Earth.

Friends of the Earth is a grassroots environmental campaigning community. From their campaigners and lawyers to local action groups and supporters across the country, they push for change for people and the planet, and "together we make change happen".

The raffle is being drawn at 4:30pm on Saturday 30 September.

The last day of the event will brag a range of equine-themed works, sending the event off with a bang - particularly for the rural horsey community in and around Rutland.
