Leesons Family Butchers of Oakham have won the British Pie Awards 2023.

The family run and owned butchers based in Oakham High Street have not only won but defended their 'best pork pie' title in the 2023 British Pie Awards.

The team have won the Pork Pie class for the best pork pie in the competition hosted by the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie Association.

In store you can pick up a range of award winning pies, from the classics, to their stilton and chilli, pulled pork and black pudding pork pies.

Earlier this year, the Leesons team also won the runner up award in the Rutland and Melton Favourite Independent Shop awards hosted by MP Alicia Kearns.

They were runner ups in the favourite independent butcher class of Ms Kearns' competition, as vote for by the public.
