A new lingerie and nightwear shop will be opening in Oakham in 2024.

The new store, Etta Lingerie & Nightwear, will be moving into Mill Street in January, and business owner Hetty Arnold is already spreading the word and calling for 'real women' from across Rutland to model the range of garments in stock.

The shop will be located at 1 The Maltings, Mill Street - the former home of Stamford Heavenly Chocolates, which closed on Christmas Eve 2022.

Hetty Arnold broke the news of the new shop opening on social media: "Proudly opening a new boutique on Mill Street January 2024!"

"We provide a fully trained bra fitting service for free, along with various events happening throughout the year. Some to include empowerment shoots, modelling workshops, confidence boosting talks - all with a glass of bubbly.

"We stock mid to high end lingerie and nightwear, many of which is handmade by independent designers. A selection of bridal lingerie and robes will be available for your big day too.

"A selection of Hosiery, sportswear and accessories such as heatless hair curlers and silk pillowcases will be available in store and online!

"Empowerment workshops will running throughout the year, so if you've felt a little like you've lost yourself recently - come and see me and let's find a set suited to you."

She added that she is looking for local ladies to model the range: "I am looking for real woman, real bodies to model some of our lingerie and nightwear, so if you're interested please email [email protected]."

An official opening date has not been confirmed, although Hetty Arnold added that the team are planning "a super exciting opening day".
