Lucas Posey-Bottomley is a local child who was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) at the age of 10, and tonight, Friday the 18th of November 2022, he will be appearing on BBC Children in Need.

Lucas's family and wider community have been taking part in a great deal of fundraising efforts to either find Lucas a miracle, or to pay for his palliative care and to ensure that he and his family can spend some quality time together.

On BBC Children in Need on Friday the 18th of November at 6.30pm, Lucas and his family will be live from Rainbows talking about the amazing support and care that has been provided by the team throughout Lucas's illness.

The Grange, a local restaurant and garden centre who have been supporting Lucas and his family and raising valuable funds throughout his treatment, said: "Make sure you tune in and if you have any spare money, no matter how small, please donate to an amazing charity who have helped Lucas so so much since his diagnosis.

"Not only do they help Lucas, but support the whole family through like helping Kym (Lucas's mother) get some rest. This is just one small example of the incredible effect Rainbows has on families."
