A Rutland-based company has joined forces with Stapleford Estate to bring locals the first ever Gin Run.

Multum Gin Parvo and Stapleford Estate will be working together this summer to host their first Gin Run to raise money for three local charities.

The 10k off-road circuit will see participants enjoy a flat route through the Rutland countryside.

Along the route there will be three stops, where runners (or walkers) will enjoy a specially crafted gin cocktail to quench the thirst.

At each stopping point, you will also be treated to live music while you sip away.

If you love gin, but aren't feeling up to a 10k circuit, runners can take part in a 5k circuit and enjoy two gin cocktails.

If you hate running but love gin, spectators are welcome, and there will be food, drink and live music at the finish line.

If you love running but hate gin, alcohol-free options are available for non-drinkers and those under the age of 18.

The circuit is flat and all abilities are welcome.

This event will support our three charities: Alex's Wish, LOROS and Air Ambulance.

Alex's Wish is a charity set-up to eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born.

LOROS Hospices provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers across Leicestershire and Rutland. The charity has a shop on Oakham High Street.

Finally, the Air Ambulance service flies across the counties of Warwickshire & Northamptonshire, and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, covering 3,850 square miles. The charity does not receive funding from the government or National Lottery for its daily missions and relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from our communities and business.

The run, in support of these three charities, will take place on 5 May.

The team is excited to "let the fun beGIN at Stapleford Estate".
