A trio from Harringworth are, today Sunday the 4th of September 2022, setting off on a 331 mile cycle in support of ABF The Soldiers' Charity.

Julian O'Neill, Alan Wordie, and Chris Merriman are setting off on Sunday the 4th of September to cycle the route that the British 2nd Army took from the Normandy Breakout to the bridge at Arnhem in 1944, finishing the ride on Friday the 9th of September 2022.

The 331-mile challenge, "Wheels on the Western Front" has been organised to raise money for ABF The Soldiers' Charity in support of soldiers, former soldiers and their families.

The route runs from Calais via Dunkirk, Ypres, Waterloo and Nijmegen to Arnhem. The riders will be stopping at each battlefield site to pay tribute to those who fought and died there.

Our servicemen and women continue to serve us loyally across the world in numerous conflicts. Many suffer and some give their lives for us. ABF supports our soldiers and their families who are facing hardship. I would be grateful if you felt able to support us generously.

Your support through their individual JustGiving pages would be very much appreciated:
