Uppingham School Sports Centre is reopening its swimming pool today.

Today, Tuesday 15 August, the pool at Uppingham Sports Centre has reopened to the public, members and regular swimmers at the centre.

In June, the pool saw a sudden closure due to unexpected roof maintenance. Swim memberships were postponed during the closure, which was expected to last for one month, but ended up being shut for nearly two months.

As such, members are delighted that business will be returning to normal from today.

The team said: "We are pleased to inform you that the pool will be re-opening today, Tuesday 15 August.

"We look forward to seeing you back in the water!"

The pool will be returning with the school holiday timetable, meaning that there is more availability for public and family swim sessions. This timetable will be in place until 3 September, when the pupils at the Independent school return following the summer holidays.
