Luxury hospitality chain launching first countryside hotel in Rutland
By James Smith 9th May 2026
Luxury hospitality brand Nobu is set to launch its first rural retreat in the UK.
Known for its city-based fine dining restaurants and swanky hotels, the chain is set to launch Nobu Woolfox.
Plans for a hotel, spa, residencies and restaurant across 185 acres in Rutland have been announced.
Nobu said: "Nobu Hospitality introduces a new countryside destination in partnership with Woolfox, bringing a Nobu hotel, restaurant, and branded residences to 185 acres in Rutland, England.
"Set near the historic town of Stamford, this first-of-its-kind concept for the brand reimagines the Nobu lifestyle as a nature-led retreat, blending luxury hospitality, world-class dining, and refined living with a slower, more restorative pace.
"Surrounded by unspoiled landscapes and close to Rutland Water, the development will feature lake view rooms and suites, a signature Nobu restaurant and bar, curated food and beverage spaces, spa, alongside a collection of branded residences, creating a new luxury lifestyle destination in the English countryside."
Nobu is partnering with high-end wellness group Woolfox Members Club in the move.
No date has been confirmed for the launch.
The new opening will join Nobu's existing sites in London, Rome, New York and San Sebastian.
