A man has been arrested following a rural foot chase in Rutland this morning, Monday 27 February 2023.

This morning, Rutland Police chased a man suspect through fields and across a brook before arresting him on suspicion of going equipped to steal.

A spokesperson for the force said: "During the early hours of the morning, officers attended a report of suspicious activity in a rural location in Rutland. Following a foot chase across fields and through a brook, a male has been arrested and is in custody on suspicion of going equipped to steal."
