A popular Oakham store enjoyed a visit from a famous face on Friday 9 June.

Rocka-Buy Records had a surprise visit from Metallica's bassist, Robert Trujillo last week.

On Friday, the band were in the area getting ready to perform at Download Festival, Donnington Park, when the rock legend decided to pop into the popular vinyl shop located in The Maltings.

The team shared on their social media: "Had the absolute pleasure of having Robert Trujillo, bassist of Metallica in store today!

"An honour to chat music and life with Robert all afternoon ahead of his weekend at Download Fest!"

Only one day earlier, on Thursday 8 June, the band could be heard no less than 15 miles away from the annual music festival, prompting noise complaints from the surrounding Derbyshire villages!

This was put down to the band's 288 speaker system, brought along by Metallica's Creative Director, Dan Braun, to 'immerse the entire audience'.

While the noise didn't quite make it to Rutland, Robert Trujillo certainly did, and Dean Poole from Rocka-Buy Records enjoyed the visit immensely.
