Land belonging to the Ministry of Justice will be auctioned later this month.
Located close to Stretton in Rutland, the 0.21-acre plot, known as the land at Stocken Hall Mews, is expected to fetch more than £8,000.
The plot comprises 0.14 acres of grassland with 0.07 acres of copse woodland, and is due to be sold freehold, entitling the future owner indefinite use.
Gurpreet Bassi, the chief executive of auctioneering firm Bond Wolfe, said: "This site may be of particular interest to those who live locally, particularly properties bordering the land, but any prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves concerning any conditions attached to the site."
Prospective buyers are advised to complete their own ground investigations, along with independent enquiries into the suitability of nearby services for their particular requirements.
In addition to the piece of land at Stocken Hall, 170 other lots will go up for sale at Bond Wolfe's next auction on Thursday, October 22.
According to the firm, the auction will be livestreamed on its website, beginning at 8.30am, with remote bidding permissible by proxy, telephone or online.
