This year, a Rutland village hall has embarked on an exciting new venture in association with National Theatre Live (NT Live).

Launching 2024 with a bang, Wymondham Village Hall teamed up with National Theatre Live (NTL) to begin monthly screenings at their rural cinema facility, beginning with Skylight.

NTL is a national organisation who screen live Nationally Theatre productions in cinemas across the country. The aim of NTL is to get the best in British theatre to those who cannot access theatres, or simply want to enjoy arts begin produced in the UK.

The team are screening the best of British theatre at the community cinema, starting with a well-attended showing of Skylight in January.

Next up on the agenda is Dear England, which will be showing in March - featuring Joseph Fiennes as Gareth Southgate in this epic examination of nation and game.

The country that gave the world football has since delivered a painful pattern of loss. Why can’t England’s men win at their own game?

With the worst track record for penalties in the world, Gareth Southgate knows he needs to open his mind and face up to the years of hurt, to take team and country back to the promised land.

Tickets are on sale now for the film on 22 March 2024.

Doors and licensed bar open 7pm, and the performance begins 7.30pm
